Kapta User Interface Overview
Introduction to the Kapta UI
The Kapta User Interface (UI) provides a consistent and intuitive experience for managing your customer accounts. Your access to specific features depends on your user role and your company's licensed features.
Consistent Core Elements
No matter where you navigate within Kapta, these key elements remain accessible:
- Left Menu: Your primary navigation tool to access Dashboard, Accounts, Team, Portfolio, QBRs, Risks, Products, and Reports
- Search Field: Located at the top, allows you to find information across accounts, contacts, notes, and users
- Top Right Elements: Contains the help center link and your username (access to profile and logout)
- Create New Button: Always available for quick creation of notes, tasks, risks, accounts, opportunities, and contacts
User Roles and Permissions
Your role determines what you can see and do within Kapta:
- Admins: Have the highest level of access, including Settings (company preferences, custom fields, metrics configuration, VOC survey questions) and Data (user management, contacts, products, data downloads)
- Account Managers: Access to team contracts and metrics, among other features
- Contributors: More limited permissions than Account Managers

Data Filtering System
Filters are crucial for managing your view of data in Kapta:
- Default View: By default, data displayed is for all accounts (unless a specific account is open)
- Account Filters: Narrow data to "only your accounts" or "accounts for which you are an owner/contributor"
- Filter Persistence: Filters remain active until manually reset - if data looks incorrect, always check your filter settings first
- Contextual Filters: Additional filtering options appear throughout the UI in various sections (contact lists, notes tabs, task tabs, plan tabs)
Calendar and Task Management
- The calendar displays QBRs, events, and tasks with due dates
- Filter calendar views to focus on specific event types
- Task and action list views provide additional sorting and filtering options
