The Know component of our Know - Act - Measure process, in which you’ve established account details such as key players, SWOT analysis, and Voice of Customer surveys, puts you on the best footing to work in conjunction with your customers, to formulate strategies that work toward their goals, as well as your own.
This next step - creating and implementing an action plan for an account - is the Act component .
Kapta uses a hierarchical format for the setup of action plans, which will appear in an account’s PLAN tab. You’ll typically be creating two types of action plans: Customer Strategic Goals (external) and Our Strategic Goals (internal).

The administrator can edit the names of these plans and configure their structures, and create other plans if needed.
Each action plan is populated with one or more goals. The plan structure is set by the administrator, who determines whether each plan hierarchy is Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced.
- A Basic action plan (1 level) consists of only goals, which also serve as actions.
- An Intermediate action plan (2 levels) consists of goals, each of which contains actions.
- An Advanced action plan (3 levels) consists of goals, which contain objectives, which contain actions.
For most plans, the 2-level intermediate plan is sufficient: goals populated with actions. But all aspects of an action plan are completely customizable based on your needs.
To keep the terminology straight, you can always reference the Action Plan Definitions, which appears while working in the PLAN tab of an account.
