Standard Advanced Options
In addition to the normal setup of custom fields there are a number of addition options that administrators can use to help them manage their data within Kapta. Also if you are using any of our CRM integrations (Salesforce, Hubspot, and MS Dynamics), you may want to link to the fields in your CRM so that the data synchronizes between the CRM and Kapta.
For fields of type "Text, Text Area, Percent, Currency, Number, Date, and URL" there are 2 options, one to make the field read only and one to make the field required. There is a default value field that will populate if anything is entered (For date values please ensure you enter a valid date).
For fields of type "List and Multiselect" the same two options "Read only and Required" are available, additionally you can default to the first item in the list and choose to order the list alphabetically instead of a custom order.
CRM Integrations
If you want to pull or push fields to your CRM using our integrations, you can click on the Link to "CRM Name" check box. This will only be visible for Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities.
A drop down will appear with the available fields from the CRM for the entity you configuring fields for. You can then select the field you want to link to.
Read Only fields will only pull data from CRM and never push those values to the CRM. This is for both updates and creates where enabled.
Salesforce Entity Data
If you add new fields in Salesforce you will need to refresh the fields information from Salesforce manually to ensure they are listed in the field option list. This can be done by going to Settings -> Configuration -> Integrations. Click on the "Change Configuration" link for Salesforce. You will then be presented with the Salesforce configuration modal.
Click on the "Refresh Salesforce Integrations" link and wait for the Green acknowledgement for refresh.
